Blizzard is working on 'character lockouts' bug in Diablo 2: Resurrected

Yesterday's launch of Diablo 2: Resurrected was not the smoothest rollout ever so. Shortly after it went live, reports of disappearing characters began rolling in. Snowstorm took the brave offline for a spot of "unexpected maintenance," and a couple hours subsequently it appeared that everything was sized.

Not quite, as information technology turns out. In an update posted today, Blizzard same that it intends to release a permanent fix for the hemipteron on Personal computer nowadays and "curtly thereafter" for consoles. In the meantime, it recommended that players use different name calling for online and offline characters, Eastern Samoa using the same name for both "is related to this bug."
