Driver to return as a live-action TV series on new gaming-focussed streaming platform Binge - coxrefort1949

Ubisoft has declared the Driver series is to make a comeback as a live-action TV register on a brand new streaming platform called Binge.

As per the announcement, the series will be a quislingism betwixt Ubisoft and Binge. Binge being "an upcoming streaming program showcasing freehand series and shows created for play fans". The Driver serial will be among the first of the young platform's offerings, which seemingly won't require a subscription.

The serial publication testament follow the game's protagonist John Tanner. Atomic number 2's described as "an ex-racecar driver turned undercover agentive role whose mission is to take down the localized crime syndicate". Piece nobelium casting has been announced, it'll be executive produced by Ubisoft Film &A; Television's Jason Altman, Danielle Kreinik, and Genevieve John Luther Jone. They'll bring on aboard producers Allan Ungar and Vincent Talenti from the Binge side of things.

The last we saw of Driver was 2011's Driver: San Francisco. Industrial by Ubisoft Reflections, it saw hero Tanner wind up in a coma following a car fortuity. Naturally, this allows him to possess almost any driver and any car in the city as helium tries to discard the criminal who put him there. Information technology had more than its fair share of nods to BBC series Life connected Mars, so it'll be absorbing to see if this serial publication takes a similar route. Oregon maybe it'll eschew the odd sci-fi twists for the more "realistic" cops-and-robbers execute of the series' to begin with games?

There's none date for the Device driver TV series specifically, but Overeat will launch on "any Cyberspace-adjoining device" in 2022. Stay tuned for more. In the meantime, rent out's have a lovely bit of nostalgia with the original Device driver: San Francisco trailer, why not?
